Sworu is a services marketplace that uses algorithms to match customers with trusted local pros. You post a job, our system invites the best-fit pros to send you quotes, and you compare them side by side to choose. Customers cannot browse pros, and pros cannot browse jobs. The platform controls who sees what based on merit, not who pays the most.

On most platforms, pros pay to rank higher and buy visibility. On Sworu, no one can pay to be seen more. Our algorithm selects pros based on reliability, ratings, and skill match. Pros receive invitations instead of competing in bidding wars. Customers get up to 3-5 quotes delivered to them without unwanted calls or spam.

Sworu is launching in Orange County, California and expanding across the US. Categories go live in each area once we have enough verified pros to ensure quality matches. Download the app to check which services are available near you.

Pros go through identity verification and, for licensed trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), license verification through the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). We also check for duplicate accounts and monitor ongoing behavior through our reliability system. Pros must maintain good ranking to keep receiving job invitations.

Sworu verifies pro identity and, where applicable, professional licenses (e.g., CSLB for California contractors). Insurance status and additional credentials may be displayed on a pro's profile when verified, but Sworu is a marketplace, not the service provider. Confirm specific coverage directly with your pro before work begins.

Yes. We use industry-standard security measures and never sell your personal information. For pros, all customer-facing profile content is AI-moderated to strip contact information before it's displayed, ensuring your privacy until you choose to share. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

Download the Sworu app, create an account, and tap 'Post a Job.' Describe what you need, add photos, and submit. Our AI helps categorize your job and ensures it has enough detail for pros to quote accurately. Posting a job uses one token from your account.

Tokens are how you post jobs on Sworu. New customers start with 10 free tokens (cap: 25). Each job post stakes 1 token. The token is forfeited on customer-initiated cancellations and returned only when a pro admits fault and cancels. You earn more tokens by completing jobs (+1 for every 2 completed) and by referring other customers (+2 when they complete their first job). Tokens cannot be purchased — the system is designed to keep posting meaningful, not transactional.

Sworu supports 60+ home and personal-service categories across handyman work, beauty and wellness, cleaning, tutoring, fitness, and more. The available categories depend on your region and the verified pros currently active there. The app will show you what's available when you start a post.

Our system typically invites 3-5 top-rated pros for each job. Each invited pro has 1 hour to express interest and then 12 hours to submit their quote. If a pro doesn't respond, the system automatically invites the next best match. If we cannot match enough qualified pros in your area, we'll let you know and you can adjust the job or wait until more pros join.

Once pros submit their quotes, you see them side by side with pricing, estimated timeline, rating, completed job count, and any notes. You can ask questions through the job's comment section before deciding. Choose the pro that best fits your needs and budget.

You pay your pro directly using whatever method you both agree on, such as cash, Venmo, Zelle, or any other payment method. Sworu does not process payments between customers and pros, and there is no escrow. Payment terms are between you and your chosen pro.

Either you or your pro can reschedule a job to a new date at any time with no penalties and no token loss. The job stays open and the new date is updated. This is great for weather delays, scheduling conflicts, or other neutral situations.

Yes, but your token will be forfeited on any customer-initiated cancellation. If the pro cancels and admits it was their fault, your token is returned. Repeated cancellations may also limit your ability to post future jobs. Consider rescheduling instead of cancelling when possible.

Since payment is handled directly between you and the pro, work quality disputes are resolved between you and the pro. We encourage direct communication first. You can also leave an honest review to help other customers, and report serious issues through the app. We also collect customer feedback when a pro reports issues with you, and pro behavior across many jobs feeds our reliability system, so unreliable pros lose visibility over time.

Open the app, go to Settings then Account then Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and personal information, subject to our retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy. You can also email support@sworu.com to request deletion.

Download the Sworu app and select 'Join as Pro.' Enter your business name, address, and select your service categories. You'll then complete phone and identity verification. If your trade requires a license, you can upload it for CSLB verification. Once verified, you'll start receiving job invitations in your area.

You don't browse or bid on jobs. When a customer posts a job that matches your category, location, and availability, our algorithm may select you as one of 3-5 pros invited to submit a quote. You have 1 hour to express interest, then 12 hours to prepare and submit your quote. If you're busy, simply decline. There's no penalty for being unavailable.

We keep platform fees low and only charge when you win confirmed work, not just for receiving an invitation. Fees may vary by category, region, and current pricing, and the exact fee is always shown upfront. There are no monthly fees, subscriptions, or upfront costs, fees are collected automatically through your saved payment card via the fee-balance system.

Absolutely. You have full control over your pricing. When submitting a quote, you set your price as a range (a minimum and a maximum). If you want to give a fixed quote, set both values the same. Add your earliest available date and optionally estimated duration and notes. Customers compare quotes side by side, so competitive and fair pricing helps you win more jobs.

It depends on the reason. Rescheduling carries no penalty. Pro-admits-fault cancellations return the customer's token and apply a reliability penalty to you. Repeat cancellations escalate. If you believe the customer is at fault, you can flag 'Customer wants cancel' and the customer is then asked to confirm, with the penalty falling on whichever side is responsible.

Your ranking determines how many job invitations you receive. It's based on several factors, with reliability being the most important: how consistently you respond to invitations, complete jobs, and avoid cancellations. Other factors include your ratings and reviews, number of completed jobs, total value of completed jobs, remaining capacity, and how well your skills match a job. Your dashboard shows your ranking as a percentile tier (such as 'Top 10%') compared to other pros in your area, along with trend indicators and recent activity.

Early pros who join Sworu in a new service area can become Founding Pros. Benefits include enhanced referral rewards during the founding window and a Founding Pro badge on your profile. Spots are limited per area. Specific perks may vary by region, see in-app details when applying.

Before a customer confirms your offer, they see an anonymous profile with no real name, phone number, or email. All bio text and reviews shown to customers are AI-moderated to strip any contact information. Your full identity is only revealed after the customer accepts your offer. This protects you from being contacted outside the platform before a job is confirmed.
